Hi All,
I'm hoping to find a solution to the issues I am having with tempo drift when I am recording audio clips. Here's my setup. I am using a iconnectivity mioxm as way to consolidate all my midi devices. It is setup to allow my korg nautilus to act as a controller. All my other external synth modules are setup as child devices with clock set to out. The force is setup as the master clock out no mmc being sent out, Ableton link as the receive side. All of my devices are setup in the mioxm to give the force control over which device has focus... meaning when I setup a midi track I have the ability to select which device has focus only on the midi track. I record the audio of that midi performance on an audio track. This combination was working perfectly until around version 3.1.1. I noticed that as I was recording the tempo would change on me for no reason. The only fix is to constantly stop and start then re-record if it drifted before the end of an 8 bar sequence. I have taken apart my setup twice now to make sure it is not some stupid midi setting I am introducing into the clocking from the rest of my gear. I don't drive my external gear from the force. I merely use the force as the master for recording in my performances. This has really pushed my workflow into the trash lately. I hate when stuff is introduced that is technical in nature that is causing me problems that forces me to not be creative when I sit down and start working. My setup is not complex, but to someone looking in from outside it could be.... Anyone else having clocking issues like this? Have you found a solution to this issue? I want to believe that it is not due to the firmware otherwise everyone would be griping about this problem.
I upgraded to 3.2.1 and I've invested alot of hours of production on this machine on all the newer firmware versions so going back is just not idea. I have heard the horror stories and don't want another problem to deal with caused by trying to revert back to an older firmware release.
