I spent over half an hour trying to figure out how to add a loaded WAV file to the Force's Arrangement, and it wasn't even the first time I can't get my head around it, so I thought why not post it here. The next time, maybe I will remember posting about it here. I was 100% sure I had done exactly this last week. There should be a button that lets me select a sample...???? Searched all over the latest manual PDF, but no luck.

Step one: press the UP arrow to show the... whatever it is, where you can edit the stuff on the audio track.

Then comes the MAGICAL TRICK you could never guess: DRAG THE WHATEVER THING UP

Image

And now, incredibly, the BROWSE SAMPLES BUTTON APPEARS

Image

Tap the BROWSE SAMPLES button, and then you can select the WAV sample! Hooray.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I was gonna do a post about the arrow thing in the Arranger because that's where you can edit your arranger clips with all the tools of a regular clip & I don't think many ppl even know that's it's there. Hooray indeed!

The arrow up button is not the worst, because at least you can see it. But dragging the splitter-sub-menu bar up...? What the actual F. How could anyone possibly come to think of even trying that. Is that even a thing in the Force touch-screen user interface, dragging things around? I don't know how I was able to do that last week, because I think it only took me a few minutes, not half an hour.

If it was the 1990s and this was the only product out there, the word would get out and people would eventually learn any bizarre button-press combination. But it's not.

Anyway, I do like the Force a lot. :)

I feel you bro. My theory is that the people that designed the OS don't use it to make music. There's other things like this to support my theory.
Still love the Force the most so whatever :?
