No audible velocity response using plugins. SOLVED

I'm using the Force's pads with one of Hype's piano presets but there's no audible velocity response. However, in "preferences" the velocity graph moves accordingly. In Hype I've played with the velocity dial but all that does is a vary a fixed value, not sensitivity.

SOLUTION:

Switching to step sequencer and setting the velocity to "play" is the solution.

This is something that's not easy or obvious to figure. There so many places to mess with the vol & stuff on this thing, it's really easy to run into these types of issues. Best to take session note.
