FaderFox EC4 with Akai Force

Hey hey,

I’m looking at the FaderFox EC4 as a potential friend to my force. Within the Force itself, the macros system is great but I really want to have an external controller to control the play/stop/shift/matrix buttons with a row of push encoders on the EC4, because two years later I still hate the transport layout at the top left of the machine., I can find no midi implementation info on the Force so I’m hesitating to pick it up. Does anyone know if the midi learn on the EC4 is universal across all the buttons? Thanks.

I don't know since I never used my Force like that, but I don't think it's possible with the Akai OS, but may you with Hacked OS. Ask the dude in the YT comments who made this video: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=217362#p1876962

It been a while since I watched it so I don't remember if he covered what you transport controls. Plus there could've been more added to the OS since then.

BTW, the FaderFox looks like a dope sidekick for the Force & other devices like the TR8S & MC-707. I'll look more into later. Good Luck!

I don't think it's possible to remote-control all aspects of the Force without hacking the software. It would be great to have that, but no can do.
