Delay compensation with Force samples and external MIDI

When sequencing external MIDI gear with the Force, together with drum tracks and other Force-internal sounds, and routing the resulting audio via the Force's mixer, how do you align the timing? As an example, when I sequence Korg Volca Drum and route its audio via the Force's audio inputs, I'm getting about a 13 millisecond latency to the Volca Drum's sound, compared to equally beat-aligned Force-generated drum sounds. If I route both the Force and the Volca Drum to an external mixer, the latency difference is only something like 3-4 milliseconds, meaning that using the Force as a mixer adds a 9-10 millisecond latency.

To get the sounds aligned, I'm routing all Force-generated audio to a submix where I insert a Sample Delay plugin. Does anyone have any better ideas?

I think you choose the right way, as every external device has it’s own latency anyway.

Here by comes the audio latency of the force.

MIDI ain’t the fastest protocol too.

Had the problem in PC DAW’s too, that is why I quit using my old synths and stuff……

I’m doing usually what you’re doing- applying in unit Force stuff to a submix with a delay compensation plug (generally 15ms for me). Seems to be the most optimal when running audio into the Force. Separate outputs however? I’ve never tried for gigging’s sake/ efficiency.

I tried it a minute ago, and with the use of my ESI M4U ex MIDI interface, I have to use 14 ms of sample delay.
The soundsource I used was my old Yamaha RM1x Sequence Remixer, have to tried it also with my Korg N1 synth, maybe it differs, or maybe not - I don't know yet.
Made a preset for it, so I can recall it.

Tested it too with my Korg N1 synth, and it has a slightly different latency, if I use 12 ms delay both my soundsources are fine.....
