I want to use the standalone mode of Akai Force for my hardware setup consisting of synths and drum machines while simultaneously utilizing the Live Control integration to control Ableton. Everything works fine, except for the fact that when switching from standalone to Live Control mode, there are almost always MIDI synchronization issues. Although the hardware and Ableton resynchronize after 1-2 seconds, this timing problem is unacceptable for a live performance, as it is clearly audible. My own suspicion is that when switching to Live Control mode, a large amount of data is exchanged between Ableton and Akai, which affects MIDI transmission. Has anyone else experienced this issue and perhaps found a solution? Ableton is running on an M1 MacBook Pro with 32 GB of RAM. The connection from Force to Ableton is via Ethernet cable.
