Hello all,

I have this ancient Korg N1 synth. It has some typical N1 drumkits I like to sample into the Force.

So far I made one drumkit from the "Dance Kit". I used 16 pads, so not all the sounds the N1 has for this kit, but just the sounds I want to have. Hit by hit - so sound for sound I sampled, edited, normalized and chopped. The results where assigned to the pads.

This takes quit some time to do so, and I wondered if there is sort of autosampling and then convert to drumkit thing for this kind of jobs on the Force.

As I do not want to involve PC's to much into my workflow (better no PC's at all for that matter) I do not want to use software like Kitmaker to make my own drumkits. (https://www.kit-maker.com/).

Any thoughts in this to improve my workflow and the workflow speed are welcome...... TIA.

Thanx for replying!

I have done that too for regular sounds, but drums and percussion to a keygroup is not what I want. I want to create drumprograms (in a more easy way).

I guess I think to much ableton where you can convert simpler to drumrack……

The way I did it (see first post) is precise and secure. And altough a lot of work, it is rewarding.

But Akai could it made easier on us someway.

Thanx again, and keep on groovin’!’
