Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong, I bought a 1tb ssd for the force, even got micro center to format it to exFat, so I went home plugged it in the back of the force and it's not showing up on disc management, I even did a reset in the preferences on the akai itself, it's only coming up as a thumb drive icon on the bottom right of the screen can someone please help me before I throw this thing out the **** window all I'm trying to do is install expansions this is so infuriating

Your post is kinda confusing.

Why would you have someone format the drive for you outside of the Force when this something that should be done by you on the Force?

You said it not showing up on the disc management, but is this on Force when its in computer mode? But then you say, it shows up on the Force as a thumb drive - which is what it's supposed too.

Can you create foldes & save files?
If not, can you format the drive on the Force?
If yes, try saving stuff to it now.

BTW, you'll need to have the drive in computer mode or directly connected to a PC to be able to rename the drive & to edit/organize folders/files.

Most importantly:
DO NOT THROW YOUR DRIVE OUT THE WINDOW, TAKE 3 DEEP BREATHS AND TELL YOURSELF, I GOT THIS! 8)

You plugged it in “back”, so that’s a usb port. Any external drive plugged in the usb ports shows up the same. What were you expecting?

Take pics, shows us what you see.

So when I have the ssd in the force and the force in computer mode it still doesn't show what drive the ssd is like drive:C in my case drive:D it doesn't show up as anything only a little thumb drive icon where the processes are, in divice management ilthe force itself shows up in a few categories but no type of formatable drive even though I had the drive changed to exfat, I have a non akai usb 3.0 it looks identical to the one it comes with. Its even blue, but it's not the offical one so I'm not sure if it's the cable or the fact im trying to use a gaming rig to set this up and possibly the bios is messing with reading the ssd from the force, I had tried a laptop and the ssd would show up as drive:D and then it would dissappear before I could format it through the force, so I'm thinking it could possibly be the cable itself since on a laptop that's not in Raid
