Hey there,

i just picked up the Akai Force and love it. Im an Elektron User since ages and this thing is finally what i was looking for because the Pattern based approach is just Gold!

But i have some Problems with the Clip Launching. Quantization gives me fixed Bars only; i cannot find a way to make it work like it works on my Elektron Machines and to what im so used to. I dont think in Bars, but in Patterns instead. When i switch to a new Pattern on my Elektron Machines, it always plays the current Pattern till the end before switching - no matter where i am in the current Pattern.

Is it possible to quantize the Clip Launch to the actual Pattern Length? So that - no matter when i press the new Clip - it always lets the current Clip run to the end until it switches it?

Many thanks in advance for your help guys :worthy:

Cheers

What OS are you on?

You can turn a track to Exclude from Launch & turn clip loop off. You should still be able to keep Launch Quantize on just to stay on beat but now any clip on that track will just once to the end even when you press another Launch button.

Can you try this & report if it works for you?

Hey there,

sorry for my late reply. I’m on Beta 3.5 right now to be able to use the new NI Instruments. I dont exactly know where to Exclude a Clip from Launching, but this goes in the wrong direction anyway. I want to launch the Clips and i also want them to loop. I just thought that i might be able to launch them based on the Clip Length; literally cue the Clip up but let it play to the end first. If thats not possible, i have to get used to the Bar thinking i guess.

Thanks also for the Link to the FB Group. I dont have an FB Account though, so im not able to post there. But still, thanks for the Tip.

Exclude from clip in the track settings. I guess you can make a really long clip(s) that just play the same part over & over so it basically looping. Excluding a track means that the clip won't be affected by the Launch buttons.

In 3.5 they added Pad loop which may work for you. I haven't tried it but more info about it is need the 3.5 release notes.
