Force Monitor Settings for Live Guitar w/o Doubling Volume

I want my Force to always have a live guitar, so I have one channel where the monitor is set to “in” or “merge”. The problem is when I go to record on a different channel where the monitor set to “auto” the volume of the guitar greatly increases because it is now being monitored from 2 channels. I could just run a 2nd line directly from my guitar to my PA but I would prefer to run everything through the Force. Does anyone know of a solution?

As far as I know, you can use scenes to switch between different states of behavior, never used it though.

Do you use an audio interface between your sources and the Force. I do, and I switch between always on, and monitoring my recorded channel thru a monitor controller. I use a Presonus monitorstation V2 for this purpose.
