When cold booted all rubber pads are black and non responsive. (Light show still works)
When checking in “info” it says “unknown serial number” and control surface not connected.
Sometimes if let alone in this state pads light up and starts to work.
Is there anything I can do?
Have tried updating with USB and computer to no awail.
Have had my turns with Akai’s support but after a while (and done what they proposed) they said that they couldn’t help me.
The pads are unresponsive both internally and midiwise.
Have sprayed the contacting with electronic spray.
Is it possible to do at totally clean reinstall of the firmware or maybe Mockba it.

I think it is a mechanical thing, maybe the ribboncable from the pads has come loose or so. If Akai say they can not repair it, better make good backups of your projects, samples and instruments settings and save your money for another second hand one which is good.

Or maybe save up for a MPC live 3, which is way more powerfull.......

Well, I went over the cables with electronics spray and jerked them around a bit.
The strange thing, which makes me think it’s a sw thing is when the pads are recognized and working preferences shows the correct serial number and control surface version.
When not working/recognized it does not.
Peculiar anyway. At one time support said it most certainly was a software issue but later on this was forgotten. And supports are not always to be trusted

Coming from the Forceto L3 is kinda rough. I would get a used Force since they're selling cheap at the moment or at least wait for the new X, since it will be more Force-like, if that's even important:

Hmm.
That’s interresting.
It nagged bout not being able to find some plugins (at some boots)
And it takes a veeeery long time to boot.
Is it the internal sd-card that needs a bit of cleaning?
And, is it possible to replace it with a new one and install new firmware on this? (pc-connected)
