Whuzhannin Headz?

Does anyone track there instruments in loops rather than recording each loop for the actual lenghth of the song. If so can you give a brother tips on doing this because it's hard to get the loops just right. What is an alternatine to tracking in loops or an easier way to assure that everything is on time and stays this way?

Note: I dont have the 8 outputs for my MPC and I'm using a Mobile Pre Soundcard and Cool-Edit Pro.

Yo Rae, what I do is, yeah, just record the loops. Say you got 4 bars, I actually record every track for 5 bars, synced up (one or 2 at a time cus you don't have multi out). That way, you cut off the last bar to make a clean loop, but if you got ish that need to be crossfaded, or you get a pop or click at the loop point, you can pull out some of that extra bar to find a good transition point. Then I work it out and copy/paste for live 5 min, and start subtracting, adding changes and drum tricks depending on the vocals or whatever.
