What Did Marly Marl use on Rakim's "My Melody"????

Has anyone Sample drum sounds directly of the Old Drum Machines like the TR 808 or Oberheim DMX

As for your other question I sample sounds from any drum machine/keyboard I can get my hands on. Just cop a machine, sample all the sounds I want then return the bastard. Loe Budget style, na'mean?

But I mainly use vinyl tho'...

There's a site you can get too from the Akai page that has all classic drum machine sounds sampled and put into wav format... I think the company was Rising Sun or something like that... It was part of a promotion for the MPC 1000

do a search for music machine son the net- have samples of all classic machines...
