For anyone who makes remixes..

I tend to use the tap tempo to a certain point, usually 4 clicks and then fine tune it manually. I don't know about other mpcs, but I'm using a 2kxl and tap tempo won't do it alone for me.

But, being a white boy, I probably tend to have less than perfect rhythm.

My apologies if this is too common sense to throw out there.

just look at ya watch seconds timer count the beats for 30 secs then double it

i've NEVER, EVER used tap tempo since i've had my Mpc. i've always used my ears. i 've never understood why someone would need a machine to tell them when something sounds like its looping right. it either sounds off or it doesnt. one or the other...

im not talking about loops im talking about finding out the tempo of a song so you can make a remix out of the acapella
^^they might be talking about loops up there, idk, i stopped paying attention when they started talking about other methods of finding out the tempo (no disrespect) but i know lots of ways, (not saying your info isnt helpful to others), im just saying this website is good for finding out the tempo before making a remix since you wont want to put the original song into your mpc.. (you could use that method that they mentioned above where you count the beats too. this website is just mad accurate because you can tap the keys as much as you want and it just keeps getting closer to the actual tempo.. but yea

yeah that is what I was thinking too.. the program i suggested is the same exact thing but you download it and dont go to any website. I used it for that same thing too... finding out the bpm of an accapella that has no beat for the daw to auto-detect.

but remember if you have that auto detect shit you could always put the original song in there and find out the bpm and then use the acapella

Yeah i find that the tap tempo gets u close, and we can all manually dial it in and fine tune as projects progress. Logic also has a great BPM detector.....

while I agree... I was thinking of why someone needs to know the number.. the only thing i could think of is before time stretching. or also you could tap tempo it faster or slower and it will adjust the clock on external devices at the same time?
