probably impossible..but i need help!

i accidentally clicked "save" instead of "save as" for a track of mine that i've been working on and was adding reverb to the whole track. now it sounds f*cked up and wondering if ya'll know if there is a way to take reverb out of a track,,,or atleast reduce the amount of reverb in the track?

i've been searching for ways like crazy.

DPM, sorry to be the golden shower on your parade but I dont think the track can ever be fully scrubbed of Reverb especially if you Saved instead of Save As

If you havent turned off your computer since the mistake took place try the Edit > Undo, if that isnt an open option then I think you may be screwed man. sorry

but just a question, What are you using Hardware or Software wise? maybe someone has a fix-action solution

Don't know what daw you're using, but see if you have a "revert" option to select. I use steinberg stuff so that's one of the features they offer in their daws.

Example:

Cubase/Nuendo wrote:Revert
If you select Revert from the File menu, you will be asked whether you really want to revert to the last saved version of the project. If you click "Revert", all changes you have made since saving will be discarded.

If you have recorded or created new audio files since saving, you will be asked whether you want to delete or keep these files.

If its not possible to undo it, i'd try an multiband expander, or manually draw volume envelopes, or a transient designer.. Really depends on how the track sounds though..

just went back to the track and added some Delay. it sounded to me like it took a bit of the reverb off, without messing up the track. im using sound forge 9 if your wondering
