I've made a song, now what do I do - MIXING DOWN YOUR BEAT

I am soon to be purchasing the MPC 2500 SE but need some advice.

1. What is the process for Mixing down / Engineering your song after you have created it on the MPC?

2. Wont all the individual tracks (Drums, Bass, Hook etc) be on the same track?

3. Is there a process where I can drag & drop my individual WAVS into my computer so I can EQ them individually?

your asking this simple question, and still about to buy a 2500 SE? tracking out and mixing is as easy as making the beat itself

1. Typically, mixing and further processing is carried out in a DAW program on your computer. It is also possible to do so internally within the MPC if it has internal FX but the quality will be lower than using dedicated FX plug-ins. Some folk substitute a multi-track hard disk recorder in place of using a DAW.

2. Yes, unless you assign pads and programs to specific outputs. You'll need the 8 output option (standard on some MPC's) to do this. Then you can track out the elements on their own audio output, saves a lot of time.

3. Generally speaking the newer models (with USB) allow faster sample transfers between MPC and computer via USB. You may require software (Aksys) to achieve this or have this ability natively, best to check specific models.
