Just don't forget a hair of distortion/overdrive. Maybe 12-bit reduction as well...
Is it even in tune with the rest of the track?
It may also not sit well if the track is lathered in reverb... if the track has a reverb on it, it'll be hard to match, but if you can get a break or something where you can hear a sound or two isolated you may be able to determine if it's in a big room, small room... etc. Then add that to the kick. The thing with reverb is that it's easy to not notice it is being added until you take it away.
Without more details on why it doesn't sit well though it's hard to give good suggestions.
