Tracking out

While tracking tru the 8 individual outputs/or master stereo to the DAW, isn't possible to let the DAW record a bit more after the MPC stops playing?

The DAW stops like 2 or 3ms after the MPC stops, but some sounds got and echo or such and i would like to record those final mseconds or seconds after the MPC stops...

Know what i'm saying? Is it possible?

Do you have the MPC and DAW sync'd up together?

Just turn off the sync or add a sequence that contains a couple of blank bars to the end of your song.

Alternatively track out 'tape-recorder style'...the hassle-free method.

1. Press record in your DAW.

2. A few seconds later hit PLAY on the MPC.

3.When you have finished recording, press STOP in your DAW program.

I know a lot of our younger members have no idea about using tape recorders, but thats progress for ya.

And if the tempo is the same for both, then that's another plus when you start lining things up in the daw to cut, copy and paste your work.

I do have my MPC and DAW synced, and i do have a tape recorder too.

I was just wondering how could i record those final seconds of the beat, after the synced recording stopped.

Leaving a empty bar at the end, works just fine.
