I actually liked Lady Gaga's recent double album, the Fame Monster, much of which was written and produced by Red One.

Here he discusses his weapon of choice and why his studio consists of only a few pieces.

My only critisism of the album is that a few of the tracks have virtually the same drum pattern and/ or samples.

I know this stuff is Dance/ Pop/ Commercial but I listen to all sorts of music, credit where its due.

Well produced, horribly catchy. I must admit I enjoy a lot of her tunes. Not too sure about her "quirky" image, but she is a good artist in my opinion.

Not a bad video, although i've never been a big fan of doing everything software. But that's personal preference. One thing I will never understand is sunglasses indoors.

a nice sunglass will make you concentrate better and also , good for the brain ,
one of the secret to make killer beats is to wear a sun glass wile looking at the pc screen .

I wonder why there are so many Apple haters. Maybe 'cus Apple is successful and how many haters you have is the measure of you success (mostly haha not always).
I'm a Logic user and I must say sometimes it drives me nuts :D Did my MP ever driven me nuts? Nope :D, but well Daw are more practical for someone who is not afraid of computers, but anyway I don't hate on Ableton users or Pro Tools users. The effect is important not what you are using.

I'm no Apple hater,, I use Logic and own about 11,000 USD of their stock. I also recognize sneaky marketing when I see it.

I was surprised to find that dude only works with sounds from Logic most of the time, and by how little gear is actually required to produce those tracks.

No extra virtual instruments, just the stock Logic instruments tweaked.

A MacBook.

An Oxygen 8 25 note controller...
