Any one use a sampler for a two track recorder?

Any one use a sampler for a two track recorder, like a mastering deck?


I had a masterlink deck back at the turn of the century.
After I sold the masterlink, I used an akai z4 as mastering deck, and was quit pleased with the results.

Any one else want to report in on the subject?

I have used the s6000 like this. Ill send my Tascam m-520 to the s6k, and use it as a DAT recorder in some cases. Works well, gives you a tighter mix cause you are encoding at 16, 44100... then you can USB drop the wav to the computer for mixing.


pretty slick IMO. sounds better than software depending on your interface.

its a great method of high quality A to D conversion
