Isolating vocal track when sampling

I've tried to EQ the track so the vocals are louder than everything else and no luck. Also tried going through my iPod to use it's EQ options but again no luck. There isn't an A capella track that I can find physically or online.

Any Ideas?

depends what sounda u want out, for example snares and high hats can be dulled out with the lpf set to 60-40, tjen put ur drums on top will only take the high end of vocal down and sound grimey IMO

It's probably the biggest misconception of the new samplist - that individual sounds can be cleanly sampled from a mix - but unfortunately it's not possible at this time.

I know you can't completely isolate the vocals, but I've heard some people sample vocals really well.

That program looks so dope, have you used it?

If you have the instrumental, or an instrumental passage that is very close the the part with the vocals, and you line them up just right, and invert the phase of one or the other, you can get an acapella version or maybe something closer anyway. best of luck.
