If you use the velocity chopping trick, don't try to do anything else to your sequences involving with velocity, it will **** up your 'chops'.

Yeah i swear JDILLA used that teq on a few donuts at least..
another teq for that tip i mentioned.. try lowering the vel on the track you are in to vary the location of your chops on the pads w/o altering your previous tracks..
