SP 1200 sequencer question

Hi

I was wondering if it is possible on the 1200 to remove bars or beats from the beginning of a sequence/pattern. like lets say I have a 2 bar loop want to remove the first bar so I am left with the second bar only. I know how to do this on the MPC and it's something I use a lot. Just wondering if this is possible or if there is a work around to do the same thing. I was looking through the manual and can't really figure it out.

Yeah just change the time signature / delete bars.

You can only shorten the segment from the tail end. I don't see what time signature has to do with this.

yeah I wasn't really understanding how time sig would affect this but tried it out and it didn't work.
