anyone have this mixer?

thinking about picking it up

yea man thats a classic mixer, TONS of headroom, its got eq's very reminiscent of an older A range, and neveesque preamps, very fast, kind of like an 8078.

got one, awful, truly awful, does the job but pre-amp is very brittle, loads of circuit noise, no dedicated drivers so not greatly compatible with much software, usb is only 2 track, effects aren't great but eq aint too bad and aux's come in handy but really a regrettable purchase

My mate has one too and I've never heard him say anything positive about it.

upon reflection on my prior post i will say that if u really need a mixer, there aren't many that are as cheap as this, i hate mine but without it i would have many less options, if u have the cream though then get somethin better, allen and heath have some great compact mixers

word. I was also thinking about this one. its got usb 2.0 and seems a little bit more with the times

yeah the usb 2.0 or firewire version i remember looking at about a yr ago had pretty decent reviews. on the other multimixers, i was reading A LOT of bad reviews, driver issues and such.

i never really thought of alesis as a company that specialized in mixers, but if it works fuk it.

defo better, i recall reading that the 2.0 multimix has multitracking so no/less reason for a seperate interface
