yeah i feel you on that... im going through it right now with my cpu... a new one is def needed... lots of freezing and ish... reinstalled the os a few times to get the same results... its about 6 good years old tho so, lol i have a master plan in due time!

yeah I guess maybe just using the OS and software that was current back when the computer was made... that is thing to do so it runs as intended.

If you are a windows computer user you can maybe install a stripped down lite version of XP which may improve performance. Somewhere I have an ISO of xp pro that when installed takes up like 350 megs, including the vital components from the service packs. That would be an example of a possible option.

that would work... i hope... every so often it beeps and freezes during loading and i have to boot it from the os screen... kind of a pain... even with protools if i switch between more than 3 files itll start popping and clicking and eventually freeze... hence the need/want for a new setup with no need to upgrade again...
