anyone who uses an MPC 2000xl and can video a 5 mintue demon

Hi all

im doing music tech at my college and ive gotta give a presentation and ive chosen the mpc 2000, i cant demonstrate it myself as it wont be classed as research or sumin like that so im looking for anyone who wouldnt mind doing a 3-5 minute demo of simply making a beat, cutting up samples the usual stuff.

Anyone who can help out would be great.

lol i did write demonstration i think i went over the limit, i cant use youtube stuff as the person doing the vid has to say its for me n my college (its a crappy assignment) so they know im not just stealing it from somewhere else, primary research or something like that.

urmm i dont really have the cash to pay anyone, if i could i would, i was just looking for some help and i know a lot of people make short demos of the mpc on youtube, it doesnt have to be anything amazing.

^^^what? that sounds like a bullsh!t story to me. so, lemme get this straight, you chose to give a presentation (bear in mind he's being graded) in front of a college class on.....oh, i don't know, something super random...say-MPC2000! No, not the popular 1000, nor the 2500, nope not even the 'flagship' 5000, all of which have a TON of videos on youtube (you're a college kid, so i'm sure you know that). Why the MPC2000? If you're going classic surely it would be the MPC60 or SP1200. Sounds like to me, you want a free tutorial. I don't know, anyone think his request is a sketchy? I'm gonna have to look at your profile after this reply, buddy! I know a lot of kids is scared to think or work for themselves these days cuz I got 2 lazy stepkids. LoL.

ive chosen the mpc 2000xl as to me its the pioneer of hip-hop music back in the 80's 90's and even today and hardly anyone in my class even know what one is, ive had one myself so i can easily write up the presentation, if you really want i can send you the whole powerpoint presentation when im done! the reason i have to get the video like i said before is i have to do primary AND secondary research meaning for primary i have to go out and acquire some sort of interview or video presentation myself and not rely on something i just found on the internet and secondary is something that can be found online such as writing about the history etc.

Also the recent mpc's are crap, ive had a 500 and a 2500 and the comparison to the output sound they give out compared to the 2000xl are sh**.

And please dont compare me to your lazy stepkids im actually trying to do something productive with my life so dont go judging me before you even know me.

i think you're lying and i'll judge you if i want to. your story doesn't add up to me. i think you're full of sh!t. and if you really had all those mpc's you could get someone to do the demonstration for you by you so you could get that good A+, even your mom or dad. just let them go off the script. and if you were really concerned about the output of the mpc, you'd be more interested in a 3000 or 4000. and if it was about the 80's and 90's it would be the sp1200,the 60, the 60II, or the 3000. mad holes in your story buddy boy. and if you had all those mpc's that you claim you had, you'd already been a member of this forum.

I have an MPC500, 2500SE and recently got an 2000XL. I tested them all... sampled the same record on all three of them, using the same turntable and amp... they all sound very close to each other. I expected to hear a noticeable difference, but the actual difference in how they sound is pretty small.

I fell in love with the 2000XL, but sound wise, it's no big difference (talking about the filters is another story, there it's quite a big difference (2KXL is the winner in this regard in my opinion)).

You can be as suspect as you like i really dont care you can even phone up my college if you like, hell phone my course tutor ask him what i have to do, and it looks like your not reading my posts correctly, I CANT DEMONSTRATE ANYTHING MYSELF and if you read closer I USED TO HAVE AN MPC, and since when does everyone who owns an mpc go trawling for mpc forums to join does that mean because i use logic i should go join forum sites all related to logic, im not one of those guys.

sorry to go on but i hate being called a liar i dont get what your problem is i was just looking for some help for my coursework (the same style as what boon doc has done for a class), the person on the video has to say ''this is for buddy thomas's coursework'' not ''this is buddy thomas'' it states nothing on the video that its me personally doing the demonstration, id still be happy to send you the presentation when im finished but i guess you still wouldnt believe me even then.

these posts arnt benefiting anyone and ive stated someones already come forward to help me out so theres no reason for us to keep bitc*ing.

To me the XL had a better swing to it, after i sampled some drums i thought it had a bit more of a crunch, not a hell of a difference but enough for me to choose it
