So I am very new to beat making. I purchased an MPC 1000 this past summer, and I have been working with JJ OS v. 4
I create my basslines by taking a loop and just putting it on two different pads, and taking the highs out on one pad, and taking the lows out on one pad, and simply just recording them over eachother. I feel like there has got to be better techniques for making fat basslines?
Also so far I have only been able to layer a drum loop and a sampled loop, I was wondering if anyone had any tips as far as creating a 2 layer loop?
Thanks, guys.
