Hi, I'm a big lover of funk/g-funk synth bass. I'm new at synth programming and I don't really manage to get that funky bass sound. I sometimes got quite close results but it's not fat enough.
Here are a few exemples of the kind of sounds I'm looking for:

Do you have any tips like what kind of waveforms, filter settings, fx...?
Thanks!

not fat enough

If you can get really close with the sounds you create but its still not 100% there, try outboard processing. That's how pros get their sounds right. Get a good channel strip or mic preamp or compressor or eq (or all of the above...), or send your stuff to a studio to get it mixed. Or if you don't have a budget for that, try plugin emulations of the above.

Yes thanks. It's kinda close but it's not really that... Sounds a bit like farts :P
I will try tweakin the settings and adding some eq and compression. I'm still a beginner so i guess it will take some time.

This is a very basic sound to make if you have an analogue monosynth.

I just turned on my Roland SH-09 and made a quick wav file for ya - played live, lol. It's not perfect but if you add some bass eq and a fat filter it'll sound right.

Settings:
32' Pulse wave... almost a square wave... I just dialled-in a bit of static pulse width variance.
Cutoff near full or halfway with a bit of resonance (just change to suit).
Attack - 0
Decay - 3
Sustain - 6
Release - 0

The first tune is low-passed a little more than my example.
The Chronic bass seems to have some band-pass filter on it.
The Tupac bass has more resonance on it plus some stereo effect, like a stereo chorus.

Get your basic mono-synth sound then add eq to it.
