Anyone Know of an effect to cut lots of little bits out?

yeah it's got 2 different slicing methods, one is transient based and the other is gate based. they've gotten better a lot in the last while but i don't use them. if i need to chop in reaper i use my X macro which slices the wav at a point directly under the mouse cursor...so basically i can just wave my mouse and tap X to split, with a built in 10ms crossfade so that there's no clickety click

Thanks for the tip. The power of those 'auto' methods though is you can really deconstruct huge files with one click.
