I'd be interested in what your definition of a 'texture' is.

When i think texture I think how melodies and notes harmonize/ compliment eachother.

In sound design a 'textured sound' doesn't have a lot to do with harmony... It's exactly how it sounds. Rippled, spiky, fuzzy, fragmented... that sort of thing.

Hmm...when I think texture in terms of audio, I think about the sounds themself; like some have a 'gritty' texture others have maybe a 'smooth' texture. Like the reason I like sampling from vinyl is the texture as opposed to sampling from an MP3..

I'm gonna check this thing out, I'm intrigued.

its good, but hate the artifacts it adds to most things.. People dont like to put in work and just feed something into it and stop there.. Result is hearing the same sound everywhere and it just makes it all sound cheap and crap once you start to recognize it. The trick to timeless sounds is to hide and avoid those sort of things.. Still a good program for certain things though.
