Having Your Hearing Tested

How many of you have had this done?

I went for an orientation for school and one of the first things that the director of my program said was to have your hearing tested. It's important to know what you're lacking or something to that extent.


Anyways, Im gonna have to go get this done. Hopefully it won't cost too much

Isn't that just the thing where you wear headphones and put your thumb up on your left or right hand depending on wich side you hear the beep on?

yeh thats what it is..all they really check is how good u hear the real low frequencies

i had that done but it was to get rid of my vertigo and it helped , if your eye site is off then they straighten it buy using the tones and some red dot lite that they move up and down and side ways you feel dissy for a few but then you feel much bettter.
but i went to a throat doctor actually its a throat and ear doctor.

i'll just do a home ear test... hook some headphones up to ur MPC.... sample a hi hat.... cut the frequency down..... cut the volume of the pad down a little bit.... turn around, and have ur boy pan it to the left or the right and hit a pad, u hear a sound, put up your thumb! Save some loot...

i have my hearing tested once a year.

I definately have them tested cause your ears (internal ear) are the only organ in your body that's fully developed at birth... not that anybody really gives a toss about the science, but all this is to say that from your birth, it's a downward curve in terms of hearing and if you really into the music, you gotta test and protect your hearing cause it's your main tool....

Also one of the best investments I ever made, cause I dj a lot and play live in clubs round europe, was to get a pair of moulded ear plugs with filters that let the high frequencies past. This means I get the same sound as in the club just a hell of a lot lounder and beleive me, when the subs are pumping, i feel the music like everybody, difference is, I aint damaging my ears. It only cost like $200 to have them made, and thats not a lot when you consider the benefits.

yeah am considering havin some made, what with the ringing in my ears i aquired..... the bright yellow ones are all good but a little obvious.
