Feedback on new drum modules I am creating

I have been hard at work changing the sample formats to suit the new products I am creating for Kontakt 4.
These products will now be launched through one of my new sites: Stretch That Note (STN). STN will be devoted only to sound design projects and nothing else.

Each module, both Hip Hop and Dance, will be purely drum based with tools for shaping and mauling the sounds.

There is a 'fat' dial, a 'crunch' dial, a 'vinyl' dial which has vinyl from the 30s,40s,50s and 60s, and a widen dial: all for drum sounds.
Each module will feature a whole kit or two and each kit will have drums, scratches, percussion etc.

Here are the GUIs for the new kits and there will be some minor changes to them as features are added etc but they will generally look the same.













And best of all! All modules will cost no more than $8 each.

idea sounds interesting, no offense but the GUI's look from the 90's (ie. Ensoniq Paris).
will def cop if they sound good which it's what its all about anyway

fuk the gui if it sound good...you aint gonna see the gui once the beat is made tracked out and mixed

I got to be honest. I really like the GUI. I don't use software, but these look really nice. You should try to sell the design to Imageline or Propellerhead. I'm sure they get a lot of submissions, but you never know. Good work Zukan. What programming language do you write stuff like this with?

No doubt...which I won't be getting any time soon. I bet these sound great though....real curious as to how the vinyl dial works. Does it introduce a sample of vinyl crackle or something else? Cool stuff.

Actually Cosy, my friend Steve Howell of Hollowsun created the designs and Mario Kruzelj does all the scripting. I create the sounds, templates, features etc.

The vinyl dial introduces vinyl sounds from the 30s onwards. Each time you move it it selects vinyl from that era. The crackle knob has two different crackles, looped and ready to drop behind the sounds.

I decided to stop dikkin around and create something I would use and not worry about directives from manufacturers. I wanted to turn the size knob and have the sound get fatter and fatter and so on.

The drum kits will have both scratch sounds and selective percussive sounds that will be a bit more unique and useful that will compliment the drum kits.

maybe have some knob setting presets labeled after some major gear, or major styles. not sure exactly how they're gonna work, but say you loaded hiphop kit 1, you could pick a sp1200 preset and it turns up the crunch, etc......then on that same hiphop kit 1, you could change it to a 'wu tang' knob preset that will turn the knobs into something that sounds like that......
