My gf has to buy me stuff for my birthday, and she asked me something i would like to get for 200 € (she's kinda rich, more than me anyway)

i found on the net this stuff:

i liked the demo, and lately i started to hate the post production process... i'm not that good as audio engeenering... i usually do that with live 8 and sometimes with reason/record. The record's mixer sounds llike cake, on the other hand i kinda mess up every master i do in live...

what do you think? someone use that?

haven't tried the one knobs.. in fact I dont follow waves much. It looks sort of cool and simple, but waves it always hit or miss with their pluggin's stability for me so I dont think I would buy those.. sometimes they work fine, but many times I have had projects with truverb (for example) completely spazz out when trying to reload it at a later date.

that's interesting, i've never had something from waves and i didn't know there's a stability issue with those products...
i could give it a try as well as long as it would be a gift... mmmh
thank you very much!

i so would like to be able to change the user name i subscribed with heheh carloboranga sounds nothing less than stupid...

that's the tape, tube and transistor bundle from waves.
there's a vintage kramer master tape, a pie compressor and hls channel modeled behind the well known (never heard of it before i saw this bundle) helios mixer console. it has eq and it simulates the helios's mixer pre as well.

this is the product page
http://www.waves.com/Content.aspx?id=10420

there are some usefull links on youtube about how these plugins sound

the one below is cool as they compare three different master tapes

this is for the pie compressor

last one for the hls channel

i feel this stuff is way beyond my actual need... but as they sound this good and my masters suck no matter how many tutorials i read i'm kinda tempted to waste time and money as usual

send a pm message to mpc-tutor (the guy with red font) asking him to change your name... he might do so.

The One Knob series are really basic but sound good... I personally wouldn't spend €200 on them though.

I use the one knobs.....they sound GREAT just dont expect to tweak em too much. But very analogue, very warm, very accurate and not overpowering.

yeah thanx for the advice from an actual user!
one knob sure costs a lot, but i think the idea here is to pay the time you save

i made my gf a list: arturia prophet 5, one knobs and kramer master tape channel and comp.
it's up to her right now...

it wont be the most romantic birthday present ever but at least i wont get another pricey t-shirt i'll never put on...
