Well I guess everyone is as perplexed as me. I'm listening to one word extinguisher Right now the only thing I’m sure of is that he uses the auto pan effect a lot. This is like a new musical language I literally have no idea what the hell he is doing. It’s so frustrating

9 times out of 10 when somebody says(especialy pros) "I only use the mpc whatever" he's refering to the actual beatmaking process but when you record all that into PT the amount of stuff you can do to a track is crazy. So when you hear a crazy ass ping pong delay or filter sweep chances are it was done during the mixing process not when he was puttin the beat together.

Now I don't know if this applies to the guy you're talkin about but I'd bet money he's not JUST using the MPC.
