Mbox tip for dumb asses like me

I have had mbox for a minute but didn't record anything. When I didn't I got a delay unless I turn the nob all the way to input, which made tthe beat hard to hear. The book just says even it out to hear yourself and not get a big delay, thats bullshit. What I found today is what ever track you enabled to record your vocals on, mute it, and when you record you have no bad delay.

Maybe turn off ya monitors & monitor thru headphones

just what Bravo said cause sometimes when i record 808s into ptle and being that i got those 5" trs it gets distorted cause the speakers cant handle it so i record using headphones and once i get everything in i turn on my monitors and tweak, but this only happens some of the time. try turning the volume down on your mpc and turn up the gain on your mbox.

i hate the mbox! but in a nutshell just conect your mbox back to the mix so you can listen and make sure what ever gear you are using is connect right to the mbox. now in pro tools what ever track your recording on just mute that track and turn the knob all the way to playback or record in i cant remember cause its been so long and you wont notice latencycause you wont be hearing the signal with it go in and comes out youll just be hearing it when it comes out. its something like that but i know using a mixer will kill the latency. Its been stated on digi website a year or so agao when i had the mbox.

when i got my mbox on, and doing a beat...it sounds nice. but let's say i record something....then play it back. the volume isn't as high as it was when i recorded it.
