Reason 5 Rewire With Nuendo 4 Midi Output Issues

I've lately been trying to get Reason 5 to record virtually into Nuendo 4 via rewire. Everything s rewired correctly, I even get audio out of Nuendo from Reason but the meters from the midi channels are not getting a signal. The meters do not move. I'm lost on this one. I've followed so many videos and tutorials on step by step instructions and I've followed exactly. Still no audio emitting from the midi channels. Help please!!

What hardware are you using to make this happen?

Just the two programs and I use Windows Vista OS. I have studio monitors but they're plugged straight into the computer with no interface. I have an Alesis Q49 Keyboard controller as well. It's A USB keyboard controller.

First, vista never seemed to work right with any programs that I know of. But it also sounds like it could be your usb midi drivers from the alesis that aren't set properly in vista and both programs.

But the easiest means of cracking your issue...invest in a basic 2 in 2 out w/midi audio interface.

Most can be had for around $100.
