Dr. Foo & chord structure

where or how can someone learn chord structure in a weekend? Do you recommend books or anything of the sort? Thanks for your input.

there are some simple to follow guides about how chords are constructed and how their used together

yeah, the best way (at least the way I show peeps how) is to go and cop one of them little chord structure keychain eltronic things.
Its pretty cool it shows you all of the chords etc. then just search the net and read up on the basics of constructing chords and play with the electro gizmo and the mpc until you get it. All it takes is a single "revalation" and you can pretty much figure it out really easy.

the gizmo costs like 15 dollars and is WAAAAAAYYYYY worth it.

There are a ton of them. The one I have is a akai one I think. Basically its a little LCD display that allows you to cycle thru all the chords and then it shows you how to play them and stuff, invaluable for making beats w/ synths.

there are also software programs for pc that do the same but since i use my pc for recording a little one is cool, I just keep it attached to my keyboard w/ a rubber band.

there is also one for your palm pilot you can DL for free, but I forget where it is, when I get home I'l dig thru my favorites and try and find it to post up here.

this is for people wanting to learn how to play bass gituar, but also has a lot of useful information about chords and scales. I learned it there a couple of years ago, when learning how to play bass gituar.
