if your looking for grit, second and third passes might give you better results. it might not be your cup of tea, but i know some people like the older tapes because of the artifacts and degradation that it has.
just something to keep in mind and play with if you have a vcr to play with.
for everyone saying that the hi fi decks vs the consumer decks not working unless there is a separate video signal going in, couldnt i just take the yellow part of an RCA cable and feed it from the tv or xbox or something? then record the audio separetely from whatever source? if that will work to record, couldnt i just play it back and it would play the audio with a blank screen, or xbox screen?
