A word to the wise

I have the same issue as the original poster. Running samples from a headphone jack of a crappy soundcard in HP computer into ASR-10 and not liking the sounds.

Can anyone recommend a good audio interface especially if you are using the ASR-10?

budget (or ballpark range) is really a factor you'd need to figure out... then it comes down to what bonus features do you need (additional outs, midi, etc..) cause you have good ones from 250-300 used, to 3k brand new.. so I guess it depends.

Thanks for the response not sure what i want to spend i just want to get an idea from other asr-10 users on their setups. This might sound crazy but i feel like when i make a sequence then throw an effect on the whole track that it sounds strange. Perhaps one of the boards is going bad in the asr? Maybe this should be a separate thread in itself.

yeah actually there is an asr thread here... many users here have those and actually you might find the answer to the interface suggestion too... also maybe the pics of your cribs thread where you can spot ASR keyboards you might see what interface they use and you could perhaps ask some pros n cons for working with the asr.
