I wasn't sure where to post this so my apologies if this is in the wrong section.
To anyone's knowledge is there a sampler/sequencer that can record a sample directly to a program's sample slot using the pad to pop in and out of record?
For instance,
Say you had a sample passing through the sampler with the input enabled. Is there any sampler that can sample directly to the pad/program using the pad as an ON and OFF for the recorder? When you engaged the pad the sampler would start recording and when you released the pad the recorder would stop recording. After doing this sample you just recorded would be automatically assigned to that pad in whatever program was open. I think this could be a very useful feature but I've yet to encounter a sampler/sequencer that works in this way. I'm looking to see if anyone knows of a sampler/sequencer that has this feature or if it's possibly included in the JJOS feature set.
