This is just one of my youtube vids speaking about how I improvise sample wise to come up with ideas. Let me know what you guys do.

This has all been done a million times before. It's boring in 2015 to be honest.

Find ways of recreating the sample in its individual components and you'll get a lot more versatility when it comes to arranging. You may even end up with a more original sound.

Timestretch has been done since like 1989 so its not really new.


However I like that sample and what I would like to see is you playing your own basslines under it, everyone chops soul, and I mean EVERYONE, so its a nice way to set yourself aside from them by doing something of your own.

Im super torn when it comes to soul, I used to looooove soul-samples but its just so overdone and not in a good way (not saying yours isnt, just generally).


I don't find 1 layer soul chops with drums intresting anymore, but I would love to see some layers and collages a la pete rock within that school.
