Assigning a single sample to keyzone

Hi can anyone help me.

I am trying to find how to assign a single audio sample and map it onto my midi keyboard...as in one vocal sample on C1 (for example) then stretch same sample but different pitches to another key so you can get that weird sampled pitched effect ..... I'm sure it's a lot easier than me trying to explain what I want

Can this be done in MPC Essentials software ?

I found an Akai tutorial on it but it was useless.... not very clear...
