4000 + Motif + microkorg

Just wanted to get ur opinions on this, I'm using both the motif and the microkorg and also a mo'phatt with the mpc 4000. I use my 4000 as my main sequencer and record all the midi notes from all the other equipment to the 4000 and sometimes it kinda gets to be a hassel saving and loading from all the machines. so what i was wondering is, does anybody do it different? like play the keys on a keyboard and sample them in real time into the 4000? or is there a way to record a pattern on my motif and on my 4000 and have them play together? when i tried to figure that out it didn't work to well. If anybody has any advice or opinions to share it's greatly appreciated_Thanx-

If I understand you right, I would say do system exclusive(sys. ex.) dumps from each machine into a sequence on the mpc so when you're ready to load the right sounds, effects, ect. for these machines all you would have to do is playback the sys. ex. sequence from the mpc and all sounds, effects, ect. will be loaded. Peace.

I don't really know what u mean?

i have a microkorg and 2000xl only. sometimes i sample a bass line i made on the microkorg and just use it as a regular sample. that way you can save it as part of a drum program and load the entire song at once.
the downside would be not being able to change the tempo without time stretching. i do it so i can play more parts from the microkorg. it has some sick sounds, but i wish i could play more than one voice at once

u can use up 2 16 different parts with the microkorg save them but the downside 2 that is that u lose the original sound u built it from.

You need to learn how to do a sysex dump from each so you just load the dump sequence and it loads up all the kits you had on and where, on each machine to play back the beat.

think thats what i was talking about the first time. but i never heard any body call it that before, is there any other way u do it?
