tuning question

on a sample i chopped up i want to tune a piano hit down for some bass.
i want to tune it down on the mpc and keep it in the same key. do i tune it down in increments of 8 or 10? i hope that makes some sense.

so you wanna play the same piano note on bass? well when you run it through the 16 levels it tunes everything 10 apart. and each level/pad seems to be a half note/step apart. so i'm gonna make a semi-wild guess here and say.. tune your note down about 120 to get the same note at approximately one octave lower.

naw man go into params feild and turn down the freq down to about 15-28 or phuck around with it till you find what you like you dont have to ness with the pitch or anything,

Do you have a computer? If so, download sonar 4 demo it comes with a tuner built in that's pretty good and you can do live tuning, that's what I use.
