I got a micron and a motif ES rack. Great for controlling the ES. Doesn't take up a ton of space and the keys are nice and responsive.

i got the micron but have never messed with a rack....can you use the microns controls to tweak parameters on the ES....

Also....how do you like the ES in general?....I'm trying to decide between the ES and the Fantom XR....did you have to make the decision?.....how is the workflow and ease of use?

The pitch wheel works but to use the other controls (aside from the keys and pitch wheel) they'd have to be assigned somehow on the motif and I don't know of a way to do this yet. It's deep and I haven't the time to delve into it fully. It was a no brainer cause the Fantom XR was like 1399 and the motif ES rack was 1000. With tax it was 1086.50... my dude gave me a deal. Motif ES has 175mb of sound rom, the most out of any synth to date. I think the Fantom XR has like 160mb or 165mb... but what sold me was the fact that the motif es sounds so realistic. I usually describe it like there's midgets inside playing the instruments... for real!
