can i use the zip drive i use for my mpc to save file from my pc and use them on my mpc with out having to do anything to them.

i can transfer them on diskette but thats very time consuming and i run into problems sometimes, but what i want to do is save then on a zip and when i need to i just pop that disk in and upload them to my mpc .
or do i need an editor,

all the files on my pc are wav files
what are some things or ideas you got that can help me out.
i'm just trying to clear space off my harddrive.
thanks

well, my computer has a usb port. i have two ZIP drives. one is connected to my mpc (scsi) and one to my computer (usb). all i do is right click on the file i want and Send To my zip drive. and thats how i transfer them. then all i do is pop the disk out and put it in my other drive and its that easy.

but to answer your question...yea you can. just transfer them to your zip disk/floppy

Yeh like Smoove I've got 2 Zip Drives....they are both 100mb Iomega Drives....but the one I have got for my MPC was a bit more expensive because it needed the Termination switch on the back....its a Iomega Plus.....but my other Zip is a standard Iomega Zip and I use that on my PC.

I just bought two Drives together..but you can get a Zip drive for just PC use for next to nothing...I got both mine off Ebay....

Bless,
