i find its pretty quick using the extract button, and the play to/ play from buttons

yeah, i'm getting quicker with that as well. it would be real nice if the little verticle bar would scroll along the wav form as the sample played. that way you could easily take 2 bars and seperate it into 8 equal parts. can you expand on how you use the play to/ from buttons. others have said they use those too but i'm still not sure how exactly.

with the play from and to buttons you go to the end part and will you hit the play from button it will play the part after the end. This is how I see how far I will put a chop. This is very usefull. The play to buttons works almost the same, but I'm not right by the mp right now so I can get back to you later. But those functions are extrememly usefull in chooping. I use to think that I needed zoning until I found those

wow man, i've been making this way to difficult! i think i just figured it out, someone double check this an see if it sounds right. lets say i want to slice a sample in to 8 equal parts or 16 or how ever many. if the sample starts on zero take the end point, 128,00 for example and divide it by however many parts i want, lets say 8. that gives me 16,000. so cut it up every 16,000. anyone tried this before? i don't want to use software and i don't really want to trade my 1k for a 2k.

also if you don't know

it is key to use Shift+left arrow to move your cursor among the digits, so you can just scroll with the data entry wheel in the 10,000's place not the 1's
