Go into the Mixer screen> press the SETUP soft key(F5)> change Record mix changes: to YES. Now the MPC will record any pan or level changes you make in the mix screen in real time. You can also program the pan in step edit, easier if you need fast ping pong type panning fx.

Yep.... you can do it this way panning a single sample left & right. Or you could use the same sample on two different pads with the panning static for each, which then means you can have slightly different tunings for the left & right sounds.

Thats a great idea, I produce house music and wanted to do some snares panned left and right quickly at the end of a sequence and that seems like a great way to do it. Next on the list of trying things when I get home
