whats up? midi question.....i hate my proteus for one reason...

if I use more then 3 channels on it my polyphony suddenly goes wrong. while my beat is playing notes will just cut off when other instruments play. this really limits some of my production. is there any tips or ways to fix this problem. i guess this is a question for people with sound modules. i have to get rid of this problem. i was told before I bought it that it was multitimbral and could play more then one instrument at a time. yes it can but not more then 3 freakin channels. i have channels 1-7 routed to my micron and 8-16 being used for my proteus.

there gotta be a way to fix this problem. if anyone can help i would appreciate it!

try setting all your sounds to mono and not poly. i have the microwave xt, which has 10 voices and is 8 part multitimbral. i make all my drum and bass sounds mono, give my pads and leads the rest of the voices to fight over. but **** i'd kill for 30 voices. never fooled around with the proteus, whats its max polyphony.

hhhmmm that aint right smoove- to use all of them would mean to be playing three lots of ten note chords or something.. unless all the patches are dual layered and use two notes of polyphony or every note....

check all your settings and stuff but you should be alright with 32 poly if you are only using 3 channnels at the mo....then again you may like layering 3 lots of 10 note chords....if so you're stuck...
