Linking 2 Mixers together

I have just started collaborating with another guy on making some tracks and from now on we'll be using a combination of synthesized and acoustic elements. That means I need to upgrade my mixer. I'm thinking that we would run the acoustic elements through one mixer into the main mixer where I would master it in a live situation. Is that possible without loss of sound quality? Cheers

i think you would have to consider, if you power is not conditioned extra spikes on signals and hum on channels, make sure you got good cables and no fans or air conditions on tha same curcuit. but any actual loss of sound quality should be minimal.

Cheers for the info. I don't know whether I should just save for a while and get a decent digital mixer or something instead. Guess I will just have to see how the finances go.
